Japan Disaster Relief: “The Gift of the Dragons”

April 10, 2011 No Comments »

New cover to the classic story.

I feel that it’s important to support disaster relief efforts in Japan and around the world.  Some of you may remember that during the Haiti earthquake, I gave away a free story to those who donated to the relief effort.  Well, it took me a few weeks to organize, but I’m doing the same again.  The story you can get for free is “The Gift of the Dragons,” the story I wrote after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.  All you have to do to get it for free is to donate to the Red Cross or any other relief cause.  This is an honor system giveaway — that is, I’m going to give you a code to get the free book (below the Red Cross link) and you’re going to swear to me that you’ve donated to the cause.  To make it easier, I’m posting a link to the Red Cross, below.

Please donate to Japan & other disaster relief.

So, have you donated?  Good.  Then here’s the code for your free e-book:  GN63Y – you can use this code to get the book in any format you prefer.  Click on this link to go to the “Gift of the Dragons” on my Smashwords page and claim your freebie. To claim your book, simply put it in your cart and use the code at checkout.

Feel free to link to or tweet about this post, but please do not simply give the code away.  (I want people to understand what the link is for and why.)  The link is good until the end of April, 2011.
