Sometimes, while I’m working on one project, one of my Muses (I have at least two) demands that I suddenly find time for something else. The cover above is one of those somethings. I was updating my e-book catalog — changing covers and adding free previews to the Crimson stories, as I prepare for the official release of “Crimson & Dragons” when the thought occurred to me: I should gather all these story samples into a book that I could either give away or (since some distributors may not permit that) distribute cheaply.
“You’ll need a cover for that!” my Art Muse purred. As usual, she was right. And, tonight, she wouldn’t let me sleep until I’d done it. When the Muse commands, there’s little one can do to resist. I live a very Muse-driven life.
