Ready to be Steampunk’d?

While I’m working on my Frost Harrow novels (and covers), I continue to have new stories released in other venues.  If you haven’t checked my Smaswords page lately, you may find some tales you haven’t seen before, but what I’m really excited about this week is my first published steampunk story.

“Of a Feather” is a tale about explorers chasing flying dinosaurs in the Amazon, in the newly released anthology — Steampunk’d — edited by Jean Rabe & Martin H. Greenberg.  This is a very cool book.  Not only do you get a fab story by me, you also get tales by Michael A. Stackpole, Donald J. Bingle, Marc Tassin, Robert E. Vardeman, and many other cool authors (and friends).

I’m jazzed about being in this book, not only because I’ve been a steampunk fan since The Wild Wild West, not only because there are so many other great authors in the book, but also because this story creates a new world for me to play in.  If you liked this adventure of Kit Chapman-Challenger and her crew, you can see some of them again in “Automata Futura” — a Metropolis-inspired tale  — in an anthology coming next year.  You can also expect more steampunk stories by me in the future.

I’m stoked!  Aren’t you?  Buy Steampunk’d today!
